This Privacy Policy describes how Zuko Labs ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data when you use I Am Neethipathi ("Service"). This Policy is framed in compliance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
Zuko Labs is the Data Fiduciary as defined under the DPDP Act, 2023.
1. Data We Collect
1.1 Account Data. When you register, we collect: your email address, name (if provided via Google OAuth), and profile photograph (if provided via Google OAuth). 1.2 Usage Data. We collect data about how you use the Service, including: questions you ask in Chat, answers you submit for evaluation, MCQ session results (subject, score, accuracy), translation submissions, judgment writing submissions, daily usage counts per feature, and session timestamps. 1.3 Payment Data. When you make a payment, Razorpay collects your payment details directly. We receive only a transaction reference ID, payment status, and the plan or pack purchased. We do not store your card number, UPI ID, or net banking credentials. 1.4 Technical Data. We automatically collect: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, and pages visited within the Service, for security and analytics purposes. 1.5 Communications. If you contact us for support, we retain records of that communication.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your personal data for the following purposes: — To create and manage your account and subscription — To provide, personalise, and improve the Service — To process payments and issue receipts — To send transactional emails (payment receipts, password resets, service notifications) — To analyse usage patterns to improve content quality and AI accuracy — To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents — To comply with our legal obligations under applicable Indian law We do not use your data for advertising, nor do we sell your personal data to any third party.
3. Third-Party Service Processors
We share your data with the following third-party processors solely to operate the Service: Supabase Inc. (USA) — Database and authentication infrastructure. Your data is stored on Supabase servers in the Asia Pacific (South India — ap-south-1) region. Anthropic PBC (USA) — AI language model (Claude) used to generate answers, evaluate submissions, and provide feedback. Questions and answers you submit are processed by Anthropic's API. Anthropic's Privacy Policy applies to data processed through their API. Google LLC (USA) — Google OAuth authentication (if you choose Google Sign-In) and Gemini embedding model used for semantic search within the curriculum. Razorpay Software Pvt. Ltd. (India) — Payment processing. Razorpay is a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway regulated by the Reserve Bank of India. Resend Inc. (USA) — Transactional email delivery (payment receipts, password resets). Microsoft Corporation (USA) — Azure Cognitive Services (Text-to-Speech) for the voice feature in MCQ Practice. Questions and explanations are processed by Azure TTS. All processors are contractually bound to use your data only as necessary to provide their respective services and to maintain appropriate security standards.
4. Data Retention
Account data is retained for the duration of your account and for 3 years after account deletion, as required for financial record-keeping under the Companies Act and GST law. Usage data (chat sessions, MCQ results, evaluations) is retained for the duration of your account and deleted within 90 days of account deletion upon request. Payment records are retained for 8 years as required under the Income Tax Act, 1961 and GST law. Anonymised, aggregated usage data (with no personally identifiable information) may be retained indefinitely for service improvement purposes.
5. Your Rights under the DPDP Act, 2023
As a Data Principal under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the following rights: Right to Access: You may request a summary of the personal data we hold about you. Right to Correction: You may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data. Right to Erasure: You may request deletion of your personal data, subject to our legal retention obligations. We will process erasure requests within 30 days. Right to Grievance Redressal: You may raise a grievance with our designated contact (see Section 9). If unresolved, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India once constituted. Right to Nominate: You may nominate an individual to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity. To exercise any of these rights, write to us at privacy@zukolabs.co.in with your registered email address and the specific right you wish to exercise.
6. Cookies and Local Storage
The Service uses browser local storage and session cookies solely to maintain your authentication session and preserve your subject selection preference. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. You may clear local storage and cookies through your browser settings, which will require you to log in again.
7. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal data, including: encrypted data transmission (TLS/HTTPS), database-level row security policies (Supabase RLS), secure credential management (no plaintext secrets), and restricted access to production systems. However, no system is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided personal data to us, please contact us at privacy@zukolabs.co.in and we will delete such data promptly.
9. Grievance Officer

10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified to registered users via email at least 14 days before taking effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
